Stephen is the staff accompanist for TPPA, and he is thrilled to be a part of this amazing organization! He is originally from Buffalo, NY, where he received his Bachelors in Music in piano performance and pedagogy from SUNY Fredonia. After completing his bachelors, he moved to Boston, MA for several years where he received a Master’s in piano performance from the Boston Conservatory. Stephen moved to Greensboro about four years ago and is currently working on his Doctorate of Musical Arts in piano performance along with a certificate in music theory education at UNCG. Recent accompanying positions include playing keyboard for Paramount Theatre Company and High Point Theatre company musical productions, as well as serving as pianist for Gibsonville United Methodist Church. He also frequently accompanies several solo performers at UNCG’s School of Music. As a soloist, Stephen has performed throughout the northeast and currently performs regularly in Greensboro. He recently won NCFMC’s collegiate Biennial Competition in Piano.
